The Tip of the blade is slightly reground to a steeper edge for kolrosing and strength, not taking anything away from its ability to carve tight curves though.
Stabilized and dyed maple burl is used for the bolster, followed by liners of leathers, green fiber and some stunning spalted and figured birch wood.
