It takes me a long time to dare trying something for the fear of failure, but I am glad I overcame those for the sake of creating this.

I've been experimenting with acrylic paint and structure besides milk paint for a while and  wanted to merge nordic lines with my love for Japanese and Tolkien aesthetics.

The blade is one of my @fadir_tools Slim Slöjds, which I hollow ground on the @tormek_sharpening Japanese stone.

Handle and half lesta are from tight grained Swedish birch, the firm connection from German half tanned leather.

Precisely carved liner, hand sawn leather, wet molded to get the handle secure and the blade well sunk into the liner.

Color contrast vary on different parts of the knife depending on the grain but are most stunning on the end grain.

A traditionally knotted and tied lanyard rounds it all off.
